The 2015 Emmy nominations bring huge comedy contenders

The 67th Emmy award nominations just ended and several shows -- ahem Empire -- were snubbed. However, this seemed to be a good year for comedy. Newcomers Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Transparent join veterans Louie and Veep. Letterman's Late Night was nominated alongside Colbert's Colbert Report. And both Anthony Anderson and Lily Tomlin were nominated for their work in Black-ish and Gracie and Frankie respectively. Also, there's no Orange is the New Black in sight for comedy nominations (thanks to the new rules!). Check out the full list below:

Louis C.K., Julia Louis Dryfus, & Stephen Colbert Are The Real Winners At The Emmys

The Emmys were last night just in case you didn't watch. But that's why I'm here: to help you gather all of the winners in one place and celebrate their victories. Of course, shows like Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory won big. Then there's the surprises like Allison Janney who won (TWICE) for her role on Mom and her guest spot on Masters of Sex. All of the SNL alum/current cast that were nominated lost including Kate McKinnon, Fred Armisen, Kristen Wiig and Amy Poehler. Also, for some odd reason, Orange Is The New Black was submitted in the comedy section. This was both a smart and stupid move because they had no chance against True Detective or Breaking Bad but Modern Family and Veep are pure comedies. Oh Netflix.
