Not only has Frozen been dominating the musical landscape and our minds with "Let It Go, but it has slowly been working its way to highest grossing film of all time.
The two time Oscar winning movie has raked in $1.219 billion worldwide. It sure is kicking some ice. It beat out Iron Man 3's entire take. This occurs months after Frozen was announced the highest-grossing animated film ever.
Surprisingly, the film did well in Japan, where most of the last couple drops of money came from. It was number one in the Japanese box office for 11 consistent weeks. Other movies in the billion dollar club are Avatar, The Avengers and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
BBC reports that Frozen is the third most successful Western movie in Japan, behind Titanic and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It's a cold town.
