Larry Wilmore to bring some blackness to the White House Correspondents Dinner

It's about damn time. After years of waiting behind some male white comedians and a one or two female comedians, it's finally time for a black comedian to have his time in the White House. Larry Wilmore has been tapped to host the White House Correspondents Dinner according to Splitsider.

On Saturday, April 30, Wilmore will bring jokes and his trademark "laugh after everything he says" persona to a dinner that will be seen the following day by YouTubers around the globe. The White House Correspondents' Association's own president Carol Lee said on the gig: â€œWe are thrilled that Larry has accepted our invitation to be the featured comedian at our annual dinner, which will be the last during the Obama White House.” Just be sure to tell the audience to cut down on the "Larry! Larry! Larry!"'s.
