Louis C.K. will say 'I'm a Cop' in a new movie about him being a cop

Louis C.K. is coming out of police retirement to play a cop in a new project that will be written, directed and starring the comedian called I'm a Cop. While it's probably safe to say it won't be his character Dave Sanderson from Parks and Rec (or any of the other times he was working for the law), C.K.'s movie will be about making a man out of himself. THR reports Louis plays a "depressed middle-aged man who is a volunteer police officer living in the shadow of his mother, a highly decorated retired officer. When she dies, her continued influence forces him to become a real police officer, which is something he never wanted to be." The last time Louis took this much responsibility in a film, Pootie Tang, it was a train wreck. But he apparently learned a lot from that first experience. Let's hope so. In the meantime, here is a list of times Louis played a man of the law:

Dave Sanderson - Parks and Rec
Stoddard Thorsen - American Hustle
Security Guard - Role Models
That One Time in Louie - Louie
