Remember Comedy Central's TripTank? That weird, subversive show has now spawned a spin off in the form of Jeff and Some Aliens. In a press release, the show is said to have a ten episode first season. The show was created and executive produced by Sean Donnelly and Alessandro Minoli. They cheekily included a poke at the network: “We’d like to beat the trolls to the punch and be the first to say: ‘They cancelled Futurama for THIS?!,'” said Donnelly and Minoli. Jeff and Some Aliens is of course about Jeff "the world’s most average guy, and the three aliens sent to study him to determine whether or not humanity should be destroyed. Jeff’s mundane life is constantly thrown into chaos by his extraterrestrial guests – it isn’t always easy having roommates who force you to participate in grueling intergalatic decathalons or perform Azurian honor killings to restore interstellar balance."
