Cover your ears during Comedy Central’s ‘7 Minutes in Purgatory’ webseries

Those funny people over at Comedy Central have been working hard on their digital presence. Tonight, for instance, The Daily Show will begin its first night out of a two week stint at the national conventions. And their Snapchat game is on point. Now, they’re returning to a series Kyle Kinane did last year in which standups performed their bits in a soundproof room. “7 Minutes In Purgatory” is exactly as it (for a lack of better words) sounds where the comedians wear industrial soundproof headgear and perform. The show is hosted by Ian Abramson. There’s a couple of comedy household names too like Aparna Nancherla and Roy Wood Jr. among others. Check out the entire series here.

John Lutz and Tim Robinson are 'The Cream Brothers' in this new Above Average series, Ew

Writers and comedians John Lutz and Tim Robinson are two very funny guys. Now they have  a web series where they can display their current levels of funniness. Sure, it's only three episodes long, but it's got a story to tell. Today Above Average premiered The Cream Brothers, a show that isn't as nasty as the tile is and follows Chuck and Stan Cream as they open an ice cream truck.

Will Ferrell spends '7 Minutes in Heaven' talking about coming up in comedy, chokes Mike O'Brien

That son of a gun Mike O'Brien is at it again with his talk show 7 Minutes in Heaven. This week, he brings Will Ferrell by to talk about his career in comedy. Our host spends an inordinate amount of time on Ferrell's earliest role in Drowning Mona, the two reminisce about being in the same gang and pretend to be trapped in paper bags while acting out of them.

And now Obama will appear on 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee'

Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has featured some of the best funny people around from Kevin Hart to Jimmy Fallon and Sarah Silverman. Now, the prolific breakfast show is getting its biggest guest yet in the form of the President of the United States. That's right; Barack Obama will join Seinfeld on an excursion to pick up a cup of Joe (let's hope Biden is okay with that). Deadline reports that the episode will air on December 30 and it was shot at the White House featuring a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe. Let's hope that this is the beginning of Obama's post-presidency reign on standup. Does he have the chops to be a comedian? Perhaps. It must be noted that the season also features big names like Will Ferrell, Steve Martin and Garry Shandling.
