Judd Apatow and Netflix Team Up for 'Pee-Wee's Big Holiday'

30 years have passed since we've seen a proper Pee-Wee Herman film. There was that stage play on HBO a few years back but, since then, nothing. Deadline reports that Judd Apatow and Netflix have struck a deal that will change all of that.

Paul Reubens (or Pee-Wee for those that don't want to break the illusion) is excited for the project he's been working on for years now:

Judd and I dreamt up this movie four years ago. The world was much different back then— Netflix was waiting by the mailbox for red envelopes to arrive. I’ve changed all that. The future is here. Get used to it. Bowtie is the new black.

Paul Rust and Reubens wrote the script and first time film director John Lee will helm the project. In the meantime, I'm sure you've already been watching the original show on Netflix. Because nostalgia.
