TV and movie star Rob Riggle has nabbed a starring role in the pilot of an Austrian series. Deadline reports Fox has ordered the untitled show, in its native tongue called Braunschlag, from The Office, 30 Rock and American Dad alum Steve Hely.
The premise of what I'm calling Riggle Does Schwarzenegger follows Riggle's mayor character and his extreme dedication to his city. He is hellbent to make its citizens happy. I was going to post the trailer to the Austrian version but I realized halfway through watching it that I couldn't understand a word they're saying.
Braunschlag lasted eight episodes and was well received in Austria. So it'll probably last, like, 12 seasons of 23 episodes each here.
