NBC’s comedy shows are on their way back to the spotlight and Superstore is leading the charge. Just look at its second season, which airs this Thursday, because it has already gotten a nine script order bringing in a total of twenty two episodes. The Wrap reported the news saying that the original thirteen order has been upped. A big story arc may be on the way too as series creator Justin Spitzer told The Wrap that he wants to bring a “sense of the corporation of Cloud 9.”
Paramount Now has its own Web Series with Christopher Meloni, Michael Cera, Lizzy Caplan, More
Law & Order: SVU star and character actor Christopher Meloni has teamed up with Paramount Digital Entertainment on a web series called Beef.
It stars Meloni as a butcher shop owner/judge/jury for those in his neighborhood that have - ahem - beef with someone. Plaintiffs and defendants include Braceface star Michael Cera, The Class alum Lizzy Caplan, and Role Models' Joe Lo Truglio.
The Wrap reports that the show will premiere on November 11. Oddly enough, it's a VOD show that can be bought on iTunes, Vudu, TargetTicket, DirectTV, Dish and Cablevision.
