The Emmys come only but once a year. And this year's looks to be more diverse than ever, comedy wise that is. The usual suspects like Veep are there but then newcomers like Samantha Bee and Pamela Aldon join the fun. The Emmys air on Sunday, September 17th at 8 PM. Stephen Colbert will host so we know who's not winning his award...(jk I don't know).
This weekend, America's Tom Hanks returns to Saturday Night Live for another stint in hosting. He's promoting Inferno and probably do a Sully joke. Maybe the real Sully will be there too. Who knows? Anyway, Lady Gaga will be there doing music. And Leslie Jones will be doing the most, which is why we love her.
James Corden is pulling in some of the best of the best guests for his Late Late Show premiere, which happens to be this week. CBS announced late (late) last week a bunch of people are stopping by to chat with Corden about entertainment stuff including Chris Pine and Kevin Hart. The first episode is tonight and features the likes of America's Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis. Other guests for the show include Jeff Goldblum, Megan Mullally, Tig Notaro, Chef Gordon Ramsay (not that one) and more. The Late Late Show with James Corden comes on tonight (tomorrow?) at the wee hour of 12:37 am. Check out the line up of guests below.
Last Week Tonight's first season ended last night so that means no more for a few weeks. But John Oliver went out with a bang. He and his crew made a salmon cannon which is exactly what it sounds like. What? No, it's not some type of sex toy. Grow up. Anyway, Oliver takes a few shots at every famous friend he has including Tom Hanks, Jimmy Fallon and Homer Simpson among others.
