Lupita Nyong'O and Josh Gad will be your "Little Monsters"

Austrailians are known for their wacky humor that doesn't involve rapping kangaroos. One of the next projects coming from the continent will star Lupita Nyong'O and Josh Gad. Variety reports "Little Monsters" is in development from writer/director Abe Forsythe.

Alexander England will star as a washed up musician who develops a crush on his son's teacher (Nyong'O). The only thing standing between the two is a famous kids show celebrity (Gad). Another wrench in the love triangle involves a zombie outbreak during a class field trip. 

Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz to be unsatisfied, together

Comedy fans that always wanted Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz to star in a movie together, you're in luck. Deadline reports the pair signed on to star in a new movie from Matt Ratner. 

We Are Unsatisfied follows a struggling comedian (Schwartz) moving from LA back home to Long Island where he befriends his alcoholic dermatologist (Crystal). Shooting begins next month in New York. 

Peter Hoare is helming the script. Ratner will produce with Chris Mangano and Rick Rosenthal through Ratner’s Tilted Windmill Productions, Mangano’s Mangano Movies & Media and Rosenthal’s Whitewater Films. Executive producers include Matt Bronson, Matt Jacobs, Bert Kern, Alexander R. Madorsky and Nick Morton.

Melissa McCarthy is chock full of "Super-Intelligence"

Melissa McCarthy is the female Kevin Hart. She cannot be stopped! Team her up with husband Ben Falcone and the two are indestructible. The two are now in talks to produce Super-Intelligence from The Boss co-writer Steve Mallory Variety reports.

There's no synopsis of the movie but there is a small idea of what it is: "high-concept action, unconventional buddy comedy set against the phenomena of technological singularity." So it's basically Spy again. The movie is coming from New Line which also happens to be releasing McCarthy starrer and Falcone directed Life Of The Party next year. 

"Fun Mom Dinner" is full of all the same types of movies that came before it

Remember when Bad Moms came out and made waves in the much dismissed "moms can party too" market? And before that Date Night did the same thing? On top of this year's sequel to Bad Moms (under A Bad Mom's Christmas), we'll also get Fun Mom Dinner. While it lacks in an imaginative title much like its contemporaries, it stands out in casting. 

Coming from director Alethea Jones and written by Julie Yaeger, Fun Mom Dinner centers on a group of moms -- Katie Aselton, Toni Collette, Bridget Everett, and Molly Shannon -- whose one night out goes awry with weed buying, hard drinking, and karaoke. The already hilarious main cast is joined by a smattering of other comedy juggernauts like Adam Scott, Rob Huebel, Adam Levine, John Early, Paul Rust, David Wain, and Paul Rudd. Fun Mom Dinner hits select theaters and streaming on August 4.

Hasan Minhaj joins Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis in a spy romcom

Hasan Minhaj is one of the best comedic talents working. Now, Deadline reports, the comedian has joined a high profile Lionsgate movie. The Spy Who Dumped Me stars Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis as two friends who get mixed up in spy business when Kunis's ex brings a trail of assassins to the women's apartment. Minhaj will take on the role of a CIA operative that's tracking the ladies. Susanna Fogel will direct the movie she cowrote with David Iserson. The Spy Who Dumped Me is set to release July 6, 2018.
