Showtime is in dire need of comedy shows. House of Lies is over, Episodes is on its way out and Shameless is more sad than funny. Even the new Dice is an acquired taste. The pay network is ready to bring in SMILF, which is set to costar Rosie O'Donnell and writer, creator, and director Frankie Shaw. Deadline reports that the show centers on a Boston twentysomething whose dreams are put on hold after becoming a single mother. O'Donnell will play Shaw's unabashedly obtuse mother. Alex Brightman, Graham Rogers and Kyle Vincent Terry will guest star.
