CBS isn't confidant in its Bobby Moynihan show

CBS is the uptight, bougie girlfriend of the broadcast networks. Once it finds a show it doesn't like, you can bet anything that said show will find its way to cancellation. It happens every year so no one should be alarmed. 

This season's first show -- first comedy -- to fall is the Bobby Moynihan led Me, Myself & I. Deadline reports that, after a single Monday night without The Big Bang Theory, big changes would occur. Namely Me, Myself & I gets pulled from the schedule while 9JKL moves to the 9:30 PM timeslot. Matt LeBlanc's Man with a Plan is set to return to its 8:30 PM slot.

Reporting for Deadline, Nellie Andreeva suspects this is the end for Moynihan's series. It was critically well received but unable to find an audience. This past Monday, it garnered about 3.9 million viewers. Those numbers would probably fly elsewhere; just not CBS.

We reviewed both Me, Myself & I and 9JKL. We found the premise for Moynihan's show to be played out but found the promise of three separate storylines with its own set of characters promising. As for 9JKL....avoid it all together.

Bobby Moynihan is leaving SNL for that CBS show

Saturday Night Live cast members come and go all the time. Will Ferrell left to make movies. Seth Meyers left to host late night. And now Bobby Moynihan is leaving to star in a single camera comedy. In other news, the sky is blue, water is wet and NBC cancels their comedy shows too soon. The move has been in the mix for some time. Moynihan was cast in Me, Myself & I, a show that follows a man's life at three junctures (14, 40 and 65). Deadline writer Nellie Andreeva says that after Moynihan granted his two year extension on top of his seven year contract at SNL, this season was to be his last regardless of the pilot getting picked up. Me, Myself & I will premiere this fall on CBS. Julia Louis-Dreyfus puts up with the loveable Bobby Moynihan on this week's SNL promos

SNL is back this week, and hopefully everything turns out better than last week, with host Julia Louis Dreyfus and musical guest Nick Jonas. In these promos, Bobby doesn't know Julia's recurring characters, Bobby doesn't know Veep and Bobby doesn't know how to tell Julia that someone spit in her coffee. Can't you do anything right, Mr. Moynihan?

Tracy Morgan is finally back in these SNL Promos

Pardon my language but it has been too gosh darn long since we've seen Tracy Morgan take center stage. After a long absense, the comedian is headed back to Saturday Night Live this weekend as he takes over hosting duties. Morgan is with Bobby Moynihan in this week's promos where he can't remember where he is and Tracy promises to get everyone pregnant.

SNL Weekend Update Host Colin Jost's Movie is on Netflix, Boast

Colin Jost is headed to a laptop/phone/game console near you. The Wrap is reporting that Netflix is closing a deal to stream Colin Jost's movie Staten Island Summer. The movie is written by Jost and is slightly based on his time as a lifeguard in New York. Graham Phillips (The Good Wife) and Zack Pearlman (Married) star in the movie as best friends/recent grads who are just trying to figure out things in life. Twilight's Ashley Green and Teen Beach Movie 2 The Soundtrack's John DeLuca costar with current SNLer's Bobby Moynihan and Cecily Strong as well as SNL alum Will Forte and Fred Armisen.  Rapper Method Man and food dewrapper Jim Gaffigan have roles too. Rounding out the cast is the kid from Bad Grandpa, Jackson Nicoll. The movie is produced by Lorne Michaels and directed by Rhys Thomas. Staten Island Summer is rumored to appear on Netflix on July 30.
