'The Daily Show's' Samantha Bee & Jason Jones Correspond a New Comedy for TBS

Hey that title to the article is perfect and if you don't like it, go suck an egg! It's funny on so many levels. First, they're correspondents for The Daily Show and then...well maybe it's only funny on one level. Whatever.

TBS has given a pilot order for a scripted comedy from the married couple. Deadline reports that Jones is going to star in the show which also happens to be inspired by the duo's family vacations.

The comedy that I'm titling "Tripping with Bee & Jones" follows a family that is road tripping to Key West. Jones will portray the patriarch Nate with a wife and two kids. Each season, if the show gets a full series order, will feature a different trip.

This is the second show that TBS has picked up in the past week with a deserted island set Wrecked being pulled from the ocean about a week ago.
