David Letterman's first guest on his Netflix show is the last good president

David Letterman has been off the air for two years now yet his eagerness to return knows no bounds. That's why he teamed up with Netflix to do another talk show. For a few months now, mum has been the word on the series but now we finally have a few details.

According to Deadline, Letterman's new show is titled My Guest Needs No Introduction and his first interview is a ginormous. President Barack Obama is tapped to talk with the host about all things presidential.

Other guests will include George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern. My Guest Needs No Introduction will also include field segments and interviews beyond the traditional studio setting.

The first episode premieres on Netflix on January 12 with the remaining five airing monthly throughout the year. Future episodes haven't been mentioned. 

It's worth noting that Letterman doing an online series is in stark contrast as to what he said in 2015 when asked about late night making the rounds on YouTube.

NBC isn't going through with "The Sackett Sisters"

Gosh dang it all. NBC isn't picking up the Tina Fey and Robert Carlock produced series The Sackett Sisters reports Deadline. The pilot -- which stars Casey Wilson and Busy Phillipps -- was ordered way back in January. Written by Luke Del Tredici (Brooklyn Nine Nine), The Sackett Sisters followed two sisters as their lies changed when they performed a harrowing act that sends them into C-list stardom. Fans of the two can watch Happy Endings and Cougar Town to console themselves.

Tracey Wigfield has 'Great News' for NBC

It's been a long time coming but another NBC show from one of the 30 Rock producers is on the way. Tracey Wigfield's Great News is about a mother and daughter relationship changing as the mother (Andrea Martin) starts an internship at the daughter's (Briga Heelan) cable news network. It's got the common "old generation vs young generation" jokes but the trailer above does give the show some promise. Plus, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock creators are producing so there's bound to be some great laughs. Nicole Richie, John Michael Higgins, Horatio Sanz, and Adam Campbell are also in the cast. Great News debuts on NBC Tuesday, April 25th at 9:00 PM.

Before the Kristin Wiigs and Melissa McCarthys, there was the great Carol Burnett. SAG-AFTRA's most esteemed award has already been given to the likes of Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Ernest Borgnine, Betty White, James Earl Jones among others making Burnett the 52nd recipient all around. The Hollywood Reporter says the awards take place this Saturday, Januray 29 at 8pm on TNT and TBS.

Tina Fey goes to war in 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' trailer

Tina Fey has been hitting her stride over the past few years. After two successful series, a few produced pick ups, and the release of her new movie with Amy Poehler called Sisters, you'd think she'd want to rest. No way! Check out the trailer for her new movie Whiskey Tango Foxtrot based on the book The Taliban Shuffle. The movie is written by Fey's writing partner Robert Carlock and costars Billy Bob Thorton, Martin Freeman,  Margot Robbie, and Alfred Molina. It releases on March 4.
