"One Mississippi" returns to Amazon for season two next week

What were Amazon and Tig Notaro thinking when they didn't name One Mississippi with the obvious name Two Mississippi? Marketing probably. Anyway, EW posted a trailer for the second season, which is slated to air next week. Tig is up to her regular shenanigans as she continues to hang out with her step-father, attempts to woo a straight woman and runs her radio show. Juan Mississippi returns to Amazon Prime on Friday, September 8.

Amazon's very funny, real "Catastrophe" returns in April

Fans of Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney's Catastrophe should excited for the show's return, which is very soon. Season three of the half hour comedy series premieres on April 28. Deadline announced the news alongside a new video with Delaney and Horgan taking on The Newlywed GameCatastrophe was double renewed for seasons three and four in July of 2016. Deadline notes that Carrie Fisher's death, who played Rob's mother, will likely be addressed.

Amazon Prime Goes 'Transparent' With Jeffrey Tambor

Comedy pilots move faster through Hollywood than botox injections. Now that I've dated myself with that terrible joke, I can get to the news. Last year, Amazon ordered 10 pilots with only a few making it to series. This year they are being a little bit more judicious. 

Splitsider reports that the first season of the Jeffrey Tambor driven Transparent will debut its entire first season on September 26th. The show is penned by Jill Soloway who wrote for The OblongsThe Steve Harvey Show, and Six Feet Under

 transparent will also feature Kathryn Hahn, Carrie Brownstein, and many others. Prime members can still watch the pilot for free.
