Kumail Nanjiani and Ray Romano party hard in the new "The Big Sick" trailer

Fans of Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani will be happy to know that their new movie, The Big Sick, comes out in just a few months. Today, those very same fans can check out the new trailer for the Sundance favorite.

Nanjiani stars as himself and Gordon is played by comedy darling Zoe Kazan as the two discover their newfound relationship. Suddenly, Gordon is struck with an unknown disease and Nanjiani helps his new girlfriend's parents (Romano and Holly Hunter) get through the tough situation. Michael Showalter directs and Judd Apatow produces along with Barry Mendel. The Big Sick releases limited on June 23rd and worldwide on July 14. 

HBO buddies Issa Rae and Bill Hader are going to work together

Issa Rae and Bill Hader are heading to the movies together. Earlier this week, Rae joined Hader in the movie Empress of Serenity. Hader takes on the role of a man trying to win back his ex-wife while also being stuck on a month long cruise. The Hollywood Reporter says Rae's role will be the woman in the cabin next door. The movie is was written and directed by Jesse Andrews who also wrote the great Me and Earl and The Dying Girl. Hader's HBO show also premieres later this year while Rae's Insecure returns for season two in July.

Of course there's going to be a "Trolls 2"

DreamWorks -- royalty when it comes to sequels, not entirely good originals and Netflix shows -- has slated last year's hit Trolls to have its very own followup. Variety reports that the original made $339 million worldwide, which is nothing to scoff at in terms of animated ventures. This will also be distributed by Universal Pictures after their acquisition of DreamWorks last year.

Trolls 2 is a ways off but Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick are said to reprise their lead roles. DreamWorks has set the release date for Arpil 10, 2020, almost four years after the first. It takes a lot of time to animate that stand up hair. Timberlake performed the movie's hit single "Cant' Stop the Feeling" at the Oscars. It was a delight. Check out the music video below.

Jim Gaffigan's brand of family entertainment will stretch to the big screen

Jim Gaffigan is seemingly going through his career checklist, ticking off all his goals along the way. Television? Check. Massive stand up following? Done. Social media superstar? You got it. And all with the hep of his wife, Jeannie, and some support from his many, many kids. Now the comedian is set to star in a comedy where he'll still be able to choose his family.

You Can Choose Your Family will star Gaffigan as a family patriarch whose life is changed when his 17 year old son finds out that Daddy Gaff has a second family. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced but Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Karen Kehela Sherwood from Imagine Entertainment and Cold Iron Pictures are set to produce. 

Gaffigan's career is steadily climbing as he is set to star in the third season of Fargo and continues to tour.

A director has scurried into the new "Rats Of NIMH" project

That animated movie from your childhood is about to be made for the new crop of young children. Mrs. Frisby And The Rats Of NIMH, as dark and twisted as the original movie about animal experimentation is, will be headed by James Madigan, who worked on the middle two Divergent movies and G.I. Joe Retaliation where he was second unit director. The new version of NIMH will be a hybrid of live action and animation. Michael Berg of Ice Age 5 fame will write the movie.
