Alec Baldwin Takes a 'Love Ride' with Some Couples

What I would give to ride in the same car as Alec Baldwin. That man is a real gem. He has teamed up with Above Average to take his gemness on the streets of New York City. In the new web series "Alec Baldwin's Love Ride," the actor hijacks cab rides with couples in order to better their relationships. Better yet, Alec's funny friends are along for the ride too. His first guest is the comedy writer Paula Pell.

Now I feel like I'm writing s wacky CBS sitcom description. I hope it lasts for at least 12 seasons.

Brooks Wheelan Says He Was Fired From 'SNL'

Lorne Michaels is a man that knows what he wants in his shows. It's his way or the highway and, apparently, it's the highway for Brooks Wheelan. The LA comic tweeted late Saturday night that he was let go after only one season.

He tweeted: "Had a blast and loved every second of it. I'm totally honored to be able to make this next joke… FIRED FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!" Wheelan became a writer on SNL last August and was bumped up to featured player. However, he never saw much screen time. Most of his appearances were on Weekend Update and he did have an impresion or two but that's about it.

Mad Men's "For Your Consideration Ads" Are The Best Ads You'll See This Week

Awards shows are the mainstay of the entertainment industry. To win one will forever solidify that show or movie in a category reserved only for things of the same caliber. These ads are pretty straightforward when it comes to saying "hey notice us, awards voters." Shows or movies need "for your consideration" ads because, with so much media to consume, it can be easy to forget all the shows and movies you watched in the past year.

Mad Men, the show based around advertising, has fired out some pretty interesting ads to say the least. If they don't win any Emmy's or Golden Globe's, then the whole thing is rigged. Mad Men was shortchanged last year due to its AMC sibling Breaking Bad but the show could totally do some damage this year.

Check out the ads below. (Thanks to Hollywood Reporter).
