Katey Sagal is doing a pilot for CBS based on an Australian series

February 25, 2016

The woman of a thousand voices (okay ONE voice) is headed to CBS with a family comedy pilot. The series is based on a hit Austalian show called Upper Middle Bogen that follows wife and mother Bess who learns she was adopted and she meets her loud but well meaning birth parents. The Hollywood Reporter says that Sagal will play Julie, wife to John Carroll Lynch's Wayne after she takes on the role of lead driver after her husband loses an eye. Dan O' Shannon of Modern Family and Odd Couple fame will write the script with the Australian sister series' writers Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope.
