Comedy Central's January is filled with premieres and reruns

Comedy Central is on its way to buying up all the comedy shows you used to watch on other networks and currently watch on streaming platforms. Always Sunny and Archer are among the favorites that sometimes air during the day. Now, the network is about to add NBC's The Office. Comedy Central announced today via press release that the mockumentary show is on the way in January starting with an all day marathon on the 15th.

The network also announced the premiere of Corporate, a show from Jake Weisman, Matt Ingebretson, and Pat Bishop. This was ordered late last year and also features Anne Dudek, Adam Lustick, and Aparna Nancherla. Weisman and Ingebretson star as two executives-in-training who do the dirty work of their superiors. Jon Daly, Aimee Mann, Natasha Lyonne, Rory Scovel, Fred Willard, Anna Akana, Philip Baker Hall, Baron Vaughn, and Kate Walsh are slated for appearances throughout the season. Corporate will premiere with two back to back episodes on January 17th at 10:00pm.

Ricky Gervais' long awaited David Brent movie is coming to theaters

Not one to shy away from cameoing on other projects, Ricky Gervais' UK Office character David Brent is set to headline his own film. Deadline reports that Open Road pictures has acquired the movie Life On The Road and will premiere it in the UK on August 19, 2016. The movie will follow Brent who is now a traveling salesman who is looking for "rock stardom by self-financing a UK tour with his band Foregone Conclusion." Life On The Road will apparently have the same fictitious documentary crew that was present in the original Office incarnation. Gervais wrote and directed the movie. A U.S. release date will follow the initial UK one. Will this movie take away from Brent's guitar lessons? Lets hope not.
